Supporting Foreign Policy Research and Careers
As part of its mission to support the study and practice of international affairs, the members of the Delta Phi Epsilon Society for Foreign Affairs maintain scholarship programs for current students and grant programs for students and practitioners at varying stages of their careers. Programs depend on the availability of resources.
Delta Phi Epsilon Emerging Research Award
The Society’s annual Emerging Research Award seeks to encourage innovative research and student engagement in the foreign policy community. Each year, the Society invites student members to submit original research papers on issues in foreign policy, to be reviewed by the editors of the Delta Phi Epsilon Journal of Foreign Affairs.
Authors of papers selected by the Journal’s editors receive a tuition scholarship, publication of their work in the Journal, and an invitation to present their work at the Society’s Annual Symposium.
Faculty Grant Program
In an effort to promote foreign affairs education, the Society’s Faculty Grant Program provides support for scholarly and professional development projects carried out by Society members in teaching professions and the faculty advisers of Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Sorority chapters. Grants are disbursed from the Society’s Annual Fund in response to applications proposing projects consistent with the Society’s mission.
