The Society is growing and developing more ambitious programs, and we need help from creative, energetic, and ambitious people to make sure everything works. Below are opportunities for five or more volunteers to join our Central Staff. Take a look and let us know if you can help!

Many of these positions offer great ways for student members to get more involved. Positions with “director” in the title are alumni-preferred.

Digital Media Assistants

We’re looking for two volunteers to help manage our social media accounts, email newsletters, and audiovisual projects. The digital media assistants will work with the Communications Director to ensure Delta Phi Epsilon members, Society partners, and the general public know who we are, what we do, and why they should support our programs.

To that end, we’re looking for creative people interested in experimenting with ways to engage the public on the following platforms:

We need at least one volunteer webmaster to help maintain our website and make it easier to use by our members and the public. Volunteers should be proficient in WordPress, PHP, and CSS and available for 2 to 3 hours per week. For questions or to volunteer, email us today.

Communications Director

We need a Communications Director to take charge of our marketing and outreach strategy. The director will supervise the digital media assistants and work with our other volunteers to form and carry out a public relations strategy, maintain contact with Delta Phi Epsilon chapters, and coordinate promotions with the Society’s partner organizations. The Communications Director will also have a leading role in designing our rebrand campaign this summer and fall.

This position requires 2 to 3 hours per week, plus time for a monthly directors meeting. Backgrounds in marketing, alumni relations, communications, or journalism preferred. If interested, email us today.

Membership Director

We’re in need of a Membership Director to lead our member recruitment and benefits programs and strategy. The director will chair the Membership Committee and work with other volunteers to connect with Delta Phi Epsilon alumni and students, grow the nonprofit, and ensure Society members remain engaged with the organization. The director also works with other volunteers to develop member orientation materials, disseminate member notices, and respond to members’ questions.

Event Coordinator

We need a volunteer who can commit 2 to 3 hours per week to supporting our events. The event coordinator helps our sections and committees organize regular networking events, public panels and lectures, and large events like our Symposium and World Bank-IMF Delegation by:

  • Developing relationships with think tanks, publicists, and venues;
  • Building and maintaining lists of event spaces and speakers, including our internal Speakers Bureau of Society members; and
  • Guiding members through the Society’s policies and procedures for organizing events.

The Event Coordinator will work with the communications team and individual event organizers to make sure events are advertised. If interested in this critical position, email us today.

Photographers and Videographers

If you have an interest in photography or film production and would like to help us document our events, let us know! We’re developing a roster of photographers and videographers who can be on call for events in Washington, New York, and San Francisco. Email us today if interested.
